Hi, I’m Tasha Rose, and yes that’s my given name. Thanks Mom! Since I was a little blond haired wee one I have always loved plants. I remember playing in our grassy backyard and loving the vegetable and flower garden. Nature always felt like home to me.
When I was in my early 20’s over the course of a few months I started feeling increasingly off center and sick. I had a multitude of different symptoms and no idea what was causing them. All I knew was that I felt awful. In an act of fate, or answered prayers, a friend suggested maybe I had candida. I had never heard of it, but something resonated and I knew that was it.
I read books, researched online, saw a naturopath, and went to work healing myself. In just one week I was able to feel so much better! This gave me even more confidence to trust my instincts, listen to my body and keep going with what I was doing. With consistent effort over a good amount of time I healed myself. In the process I learned so much about the power of food (hello kale!), and herbs (hello oregano!). Ann Wigmore says, “The food we eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison,” and I wholeheartedly agree.
In my mid 30’s I deepened my relationship with the plants doing a two year advanced apprenticeship with The Gaia School of Healing in California, and afterwards was a mentor to incoming apprentices. I journeyed with and studied many plants, and learned more about The Wise Woman Tradition and Plant Spirit Medicine.
Then I became a mother, and I knew I wanted to make effective, organic, and great tasting cold, cough and flu remedies with ingredients I knew for my family. I also wanted to make prenatal and postnatal creations for myself and all the amazing mama's around me. This turned into Tasha Rose Remedies, and I love sharing my creations with you and other health conscious families. Welcome to the family!
